Awesome Place to Stay!

This place is way better than what you see and read online. Carmen and I have found a new home away from home. Just returned today from spending a few days there to get away from it all and unwind. We feel refreshed and ready to go until our next time we book. It will be soon for us to go back to our new little hiding place. John and Karen are very friendly and helpful and you couldn't ask for better hosts. We will be returning soon. Thanks again for having this place, Randy & Carmen Barnett

Me and my husband needed a little getaway to process some difficult news about our family. This was the best find I could have possibly came upon!! John and his wife were outstanding hosts and when our hot tub had a minor issue late at night, he came right over to check it out! Amazing service!!! We loved every minute of sitting on the porch to exploring in the woods and down by the river. Close enough to town and Glenrose offers a fabulous little square to explore and find treasures!!

What a great place to stay! The photos don't do it justice and the hospitality was wonderful. John greeted us when we arrived and explained everything, was very hospitable. We stayed in the Cliff and it was perfectly secluded away from everything with a great view. The Cabin was cozy and the kitchen had everything needed. We were only able to stay one night and it was definitely not enough. We will be going back again and highly recommend this place.

My husband and I just came back from a little get away for our 9 year anniversary. We stayed at the Taos house. This is the 4th time we've been to the cabins and we absolutely LOVE it every time we visit! My favorite cabin has to be the Spring house but they are all just as amazing. Every time we go, we come back refreshed and reconnected. It's just my husband and I and nature! you can see every single star in the sky out there, it's just beautiful! John and Karen have taken care of every…

We celebrated our 35th Anniversary July 30/31 2016 we had an amazing romantic relaxing weekend. Hot tub and view from deck was beautiful. Cabin has everything you need. Lots of local restaurants We will definitely return.

A little piece of Heaven!

My husband and I spent the night this last weekend 5/14-5/15/16 in the Cedar cabin and it was an awesome experience! First of all, it is completely private. After we checked in at the main house we never saw another person on the property. Each cabin has its own driveway and it's so heavily wooded that you never hear or see any other guests unless someone gets overly noisy. The cabin was so nice, well decorated and everything you could need to cook or reheat food was provided.

John and Karen, the owners, nailed it! Our cabin was super clean, well kept, comfortable, cozy and private offering the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We had no need unmet by our accommodations. We will certainly be return visitors.

We are actually going today to stay for the second time. The first was our anniversary after my deployment and today is my beautiful wife's birthday. This place is amazing and so relaxing. John and Karen are very nice and do all they can for you to have a great stay. We have made this a tradition and will hopefully see many more stays here.

Wonderful quiet cabin in the woods

My husband and I had a wonderful time just being together in this quiet place. The kitchen had all we needed for the time we were there. The bed was comfortable. We loved sitting on the porch in the big rocking chairs. We loved that we did not see the other cabins. We will certainly return in the future.

Celebrating Several Occasions At One Time!!!!!

My Husband is a truck Driver so having him home for different occasion are difficult, but when we do make plans we just celebrate our Birthday's, anniversary, Mother's day and father's day at the same time and this time we choose the paluxy cabins. We stayed in the Cedar Cabin and had the most wonderful time and really enjoyed ourselves and the tranquility and each other so Jon & Karen get ready we will definitely be back we love,love,love you guys for creating such a beautiful place.

Spring Cabin

We just completed our stay at the Paluxy River Bed Cabins, in particular the Spring Cabin. We must say that we’ve stayed in several B&B’s over the years and this is by far the best to date. Not only was the cabin exceptionally clean, but the lack of a TV made the time my wife and I spent very special. It was very relaxing and the hot tube in the evening was very relaxing. There was a little highway noise, but it could not be heard while in the hot tub or within the cabin. We’ll be returning.

My wife and I have stayed here twice and love it more every time. It is a great, kid free, romantic getaway. We have stayed in the Taos house both times and love the seclusion and privacy. We spent time in the hot tub soaking in the nature. Karen and John greet you, are there to help in any way but give you your privacy. Experience the Paluxy River Bed Cabin "state of mind". My husband and I were blown away, so to speak, by the kindness of our host and the beauty and convenience of the cabin. The view is gorgeous and the feel of the place is hard to describe with words. You're experiences are not just what you see and do but how this place makes you feel.

My husband and I stayed here and couldn't have asked for more. We stayed in the Spring cabin and it was perfect. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything you could possibly need, down to spices and herbs to cook a perfect steak! My favorite spot was the ENORMOUS porch. We sat in the rocking chairs and soaked in the hot tub for hours. It was just so peaceful out there. We look forward to staying there again. Karen was so sweet and very pleasant! Keep up the amazing work yall!

My husband and I spent the weekend at the Paluxy River Bed Cabins. What a wonderful place!! The cabins are far enough away from each other that you really fell like you have the place to yourself. The cabins are just perfect. Super clean, comfortable bed, and great atmosphere. Just what we needed. My wife and I stayed here last week for a quick getaway. We loved every thing about this place. It was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the Cedar House which had plenty of room and lots of character. They though of every detail from having plenty of items in the kitchen, lots of deck space, and even games to play. I forgot my jacket there and they called us to let us know and even droped it in the mail for me! We cant wait to go back and check out the other 3 cabins!

My girlfriend and I have stayed here 9 times, our tenth coming up here in May. There simply is no other place to go to. Glen Rose is a cool town to visit and stay in. They can handle most requests for you. I always ask in advance for them to put two cases of beer in the fridge for us, and when we get there, it's chilling waiting for us. If you ride mountain bikes, bring them as it's a short ride to downtown area. I'd recommend the Spring and Cliff house since these are the larger ones.

My new husband and I came here right after our wedding reception and staying three nights for a mini honeymoon. Our goal was to find a place where we could spend time with one another without being distracted by the outside world. We found the Paluxy River Bed Cabins to be exactly what we needed: isolated, peaceful, and relaxing. The cabins have a small kitchen and a grill outside, so we were able to cook our own meals in addition to enjoy the jacuzzi each night.

We had a girls getaway weekend at "The Cedar House". It was the perfect blend of peace and excitement. At the beautiful cabin, we enjoyed the clear river, beautiful flowers, red cardinals, hot tub and a stunning sunset. In town, we found great food, music, people and shopping. We will be going back again and again.

Stayed in the Cliff House, the view of the river from the deck was great. Took my girlfriend here for a getaway for her Birthday. We planned a trip on the motorcycle to Glen Rose to visit Dinasour Valley State Park and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Found the cabins listed and called and talk to John about staying on a weeknight. He was very helpful on making my decision which cabin to stay in. When we got there everything was set up, AC was on, hot tub was ready and it was very clean.

Let me tell you, Paluxy is the place to stay! With only 4 cabins on property, it's the perfect getaway from the hectic city life. After doing much research, I picked Paluxy because of the seclusion, deck w/hot tub & BBQ grill. Everything that we could possibly need was there and well taken care of. We took a ton of nature pictures to share with friends & famly. John & Karen were wonderful hosts and we look forward to going back in the fall. The only negative: we couldn't stay LONGER!

We have been here twice and on both occasions we had a great and awesome time. The peace and quiet, the solitude, the hot tub all make this our favorite place to stay for a great weekend gateaway. John and Karen are the perfect hosts, they make you fell welcomed, appreciated and they are very attentive. I found this place looking for a last minute getaway to surprise my husband. I spoke with John both via email and phone who was very helpful in helping me find great mountain bike and hiking trailed close to the cabins and answered all questions I had. My husband and I drove in late from northeast of Dallas on a Friday night getting in around 8:30. John and Karen were very accommodating and definitely care about making sure everything is just right for their guests.

The wife and I stayed in the Taos cabin enjoying the cool night air while relaxing in the hot tub. It was much needed quality time together; relaxing and enjoying each other's company. The atmosphere was simply incredible. From the upstairs balcony we watched the sunset each eveining, saw two deer chasing around down by the river, viewed the river above the tree-tops. We had everything we needed in the cabin. I just wished I had brought my washers so that we could play a game or two down by the river.

My husband and I spent one blissful night in the Cliff House last week. It was beautiful and wonderful and we were planning when we could come back before we even left! You are completely secluded from the rest of the world which was my favorite part. The hot tub was perfect and they have provided you with everything you could possibly need during your stay. John and Karen have done a wonderful thing by sharing their property and making you feel so at home!

I decided to surprise my wife with a quick one night getaway for our 17th wedding anniversary. After getting down there, getting settled in, and falling in love with the place, we couldn't force ourselves to check out the next morning. We didn't want to leave the next morning either, but we had responsibilities in the real world waiting for us, so we had to leave. The cabin and hot tub would have been perfect on their own accord. But, when you combine them with the view of the Paluxy River down.

My wife and I wanted to spend a quite and relaxing weekend together on the Paluxy River in Glen Rose and looked on the internet for the ultimate experience. What we saw on the Paluxy River Bed Cabins website was beautiful and we decided that was the place. When we first arrived and actually saw the Cedar cabin in person all we could say is "WOW"!! John and Karen obviously paid attention to every detail to this amazing riverside cabin getaway and it made our stay incredible.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Paluxy River Bed cabins. We stayed in the Cedar House for our 20th Anniversary and loved the fishing, hot tub and peace and quiet. It's a great get-away from the fast-paced, everyday life we all live. Karen and John were so helpful and friendly. We will be going back!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was perfect. Both Karen and John were friendly and efficient when we met with them. They were clearly willing to spend time helping us find anything we needed in the area, but were also just as fine with leaving us on our own. The cabin had a gorgeous view of the river and gave you the sense of being completely private. The cabin was clean and well-maintained, with a binder of useful information on the area. I highly recommend.

The Paluxy River Bed Cabins is exactly what we needed! This is our second visit to PRBC. This time the weather was very hot, averaging 104 for the three days we were in Glen Rose. The cabin was nice and cool and very relaxing! The funny thing is that we sat in the hot tub to cool down! Ha ...but it was very relating. John and Karen are very accommodating and friendly. This place was awesome. The jacuzzi tub was cool (literally) and that was great because it was so hot outside...great way to cool off. John & Karen was such great hosts. The view was fantastic; the wildlife was fun to watch(especially the fox); it was sooo relaxing; the cabin was very nice and clean. Great place...great value. We can't wait to go back in the fall. Thanks John & Karen for a lovely 4 days and 3 nights.

I got to check something off my bucket list, and didn't even know it was on my list until I experienced it! Imagine... you're sitting in the spa, sipping a glass (or two) of wine. You just watched the sun set over the river, with 10 beautiful shades of yellow, orange and red. A little red fox and his lady-friend just stroll by and pause long enough for you to take their picture. Then you turn to look down the path to the fire pit.... and about 1000 lightning bugs are flashing while they slowly.

The BEST Get Away in Glen Rose

My husband and I had such a relaxing time at the cabin. We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cabin has a nice hot tub with an excellent view and is located in a very secluded scenic area. Every night, we would walk done to the river and fish with a cane pole provided with the cabin. We knew it was almost time to stop when the beautiful lighning bugs starting twinkling. We did smores over the fire each night and sat on the swinging bench and talked.

We have stayed at the cabins twice now (Spring & Taos) and we will likely stay there again. Comfortable cabins, peaceful setting, and no one around! The owners are very friendly and helpful! We highly recommend it!

This was a PERFIC getaway! It was exactly what we needed! It was Super Bowl weekend and we could have cared less about the game!! We forgot all about it with the scenic views and the wonderful hotub on the front porch! We grilled - we walked and we lounged! It was wonderful. We WILL visit again!

Cedar Cabin

My husband and I recently stayed at the Cedar Cabin. It was charming, clean, quiet, and a great place for a much needed weekend get away. Every thing we needed was at hand in the cabin, although we didn't really need too much. The host and hostess were very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely return to the cabins and recommend them to anyone looking for a place to relax and recharge.

Rest and Relaxation

My husband and I recently stayed at the wonderful Cliff cabin. The property was fantastic and the cabin was ideal. Karen was so accommodating and had everything super clean and ready for our stay. I defiantly look forward to a return visit hopefully a longer stay next time. I certainly will tell my friends and family about this gem of place to rest and recuperate what the city takes out of you. Thank you so much for offering this beautiful place of yours to the world.

A great way to connect with a loved one

This is a great way to reconnect or spend real quality time with the one you love. Me and my newlywed husband stayed here while he came home on a 3 day pass before deploying to Afghanistan. I wanted quality time with no interruptions and this place is perfect for that. The cabin was extremely clean which is a huge plus with me. We stayed at the Cedar Cabin and I think next time I will try the Spring house....only because it overlooks the river from the hot tub.

Our stay was so pleasant and perfect. Great atmosphere, great location! We stayed in the Cedar House and loved it! Beautiful views, comfortable bed, good space, awesome hot tub, great grill! Perfect weekend getaway! We will return.

One of the most relaxed vacations we've been on. Cabins were excellent and very clean. Enjoyed the jacuzzi tremendously.

I am one to check and re-check reviews. I found the glowing reviews for the Paluxy River Bed Cabins and was intrigued and surprised and even a bit suspicious. Who gets so many positive reviews? Yes I am a sceptic. We decided to give them a try and are so glad we did. We stayed in the Cliffs cabin which overlooks the river. It was lovely and we liked it so much, we are going back in the Fall. Yes this place is the real deal. Kudos to both Karen and John on the fun decorating as well.
